CUBANITASURF TEAM
Cuba has small but dedicated group of women surfers who banded together to form the " Cubanitasurf Team " in 2005
These " habaneras " begun surfing around 2001 but he lack of boards
& equipment has made it difficult for more women to be involved . There are 8 - 9 Cubanitas surfing at present and sharing boards so everyone gets a surf is common .
There ages range from 12 to 24 and mainly surf the habana surf
breaks but some have travelled to other areas . Anyone wishing to help the progess of the Cuban Womens Surfing should e-mail this site .
